This site is for Kaiser Permanente patients, their families, and their caregivers. We inform. To get the best care, learn all that you can about Kaiser. Patients have rights. Learn how to use them and how to protect them.

This site isn't affiliated with Kaiser or the for-profit Permanente.

The purpose of this website can best be stated by a quote from the former Kaiser Permanente CEO who is not affiliated with the KaiserPapers patient advocacy group:   “Be well — and if you are not well — be careful.”  George C. Halvorson The KaiserPapers is an advocacy site opposed to several medical and business practices of Kaiser Permanente. The Kaiser Papers offers personal accounts, allegations, news, links and suggestions for people to obtain information and assistance when they are navigating the health care system.

Remember - Kaiser, a business, claims to exist to help people, and they can, but helping patients is a by-product and not the goal.

Their goal is to make money and they are very good at doing so, often at the detriment of the patient who often does not receive needed care or is outright ignored.
